Relay Closeups
The relays used in the Tribute device are made by Western Electric Co. The E and R types are circa early 1930's and retrieved from a dismantled Panel Office in San Francisco Ca.

The U and UB relays below are unused, typically found in a Crossbar type office.

The AJ-9 wire spring relay below is unused and obtained circa 1970.
The wire spring type was extensively used in Crossbar Offices of various kinds and some on-premise business telephone systems such as the 1A1 Key Telephone System (KTS).
